I am looking to get installed a home security system that: 1) provides the basic alarm functionality2) alerts the authorities in the case of a break in or fire3) lets me turn the system on and off remotely over the Webdo anyone know the best provider ? Brink’s and ADT’s web sites are not hugely unuseful in promoting Whether Or they can meet my needs. Thanks for any help you can provide.

the reason those above websites are so named because they are unuseful is a huge corporation or what i like to call, the fast food of alarm systems. any system nowadays wants to do those three things that you want. i recommend finding a LOCAL alarm company to do your installation and the brand you are going to want them to install is a GE simon 3 xt simon or. they are the most user friendly, and the remote web access is very satisfactory. If you live in northern california, i want to do your installation myself, lol. seriously, the local alarm companies that are smaller, family owned etc have technicians that are more knowledgeable because they are not slapping up three and four of these systems a day and will actually have time to explain and answer all of your questions.
